Der Bannerträger is one of the most famous relief sculptures by Arno Breker, created in 1940. It serves as a prime example of the idealized, heroic aesthetic favored by the Third Reich. He piece depicts a muscular, nude warrior in mid-stride holding a flag. It was designed to embody "Aryan" ideals of strength, discipline and readiness for battle.

The monumental bas-relief was originally intended for the planned "Soldatenhalle"–The Soldier's Hall–in the capital project of "Germania".

The sculpture was lost during the 1945 Berlin-bombings. What remains today survives only through arhcival photographs, preserving a fragment of a vanished artistic program from one of Europe's most controversial eras.
